Dust off your tux, pick out your evening gown, or dig up your finest Victorian garb to fall back in time is aboard the Queen Mary in the Queen Salon for dinner, drinks, and dancing!
This new addition to our industry’s annual gathering at World Tea Expo will be a night of celebration, recognition, and fun. Come join us for this black-tie optional formal industry celebration aboard the iconic Queen Mary, Friday, May 30, at 7:00 pm. This event has limited-seating so reserve your spot today!

Price per person = $125. Reserved Table for 10 = $1000. Spouses and family members not registered for the Expo are welcome.
Our red carpet gala will be a night for recognition. Details will be published soon on nominations for best tea rooms, tea retailers, best online tea store, best blog, and much more. Join your hosts, George Jage, Founder and Director of World Tea Expo, and Gail Gastelu, Publisher of Tea House Times, in this Oscar-like night celebrating our industry’s best.
The evening will culminate with the donning of our Cha Jing Lifetime Achievement Award to this year’s recipient, Devan Shah.
The Cha Jing Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizes and celebrates individuals who have made considerable contributions to the growth, innovation and education of the tea industry throughout their lifetime. While facilitated by World Tea Media, the Cha Jing Lifetime Achievement Award is a community celebration in honor of pioneers that have helped fuel the market and shape the industry we know today. Past recipients have been John Harney, founder of Harney & Sons, and Joe Simrany, President of the Tea Association of the USA for over 20 years.
Devan has been a pioneer, a leader and a true friend in the specialty tea industry for over 2 decades. His dedication to tea and his compassion for the industry have been known to many. Devan has been a trusted educator and supplier to hundreds of small tea business in the U.S., an ardent support of World Tea Expo, Specialty tea Institute, and tea festivals across the country, publisher of James Norwood Pratt’s legendary Tea Lover’s Treasury and Tea Dictionary, and has been a leader in America’s tea renaissance.
